Who: Amy Henderson of Studio Morphologie + Aqua-Velvet How often do you indie-shop? I have been an indie shopper for many moons long before it was the widespread "hip" thing to do. Although I have had to tighten my pursestrings after going into biz for myself 2 years back, I still make regular purchases every 1-2 months in brick & mortars or online. In addition to this gorgeous cowl, I recently purchased a superb wristlet bag from Drikab and two sets of amazing art topo cards from Crafterall Scores...a Merino wool/silk "Veronique" cowl in pacific blue by Carrie Strine of Hand Me Downs. This cowl is oh so soft, delicate and very luxurious. It is perfectly lightweight and not bulky. The lace pattern is exquisite and the style is feminine but not fussy which suits me. Carrie handspun this yarn herself which makes it even more special. Mmm... this cowl makes me feel cozy, fashionable, feminine, a bit decadent, and definitely more sophisticated. :) What made you buy it? Hands down the color, the style and the super soft delicate yarn! It was an easy decision as this is not the only one of Carrie's heirloom knits I own. In fact, this is my second cowl. I also own one of her amazing Japanese linen scarves in a rich charcoal. The quality of Carrie's work is topnotch and she is most professional. Our acquaintance began with my first Hand Me Downs purchase back in January and now I am very privileged to count Carrie as a very dear friend!
